Hama USB-C-Cable USB 2.0 480 MBIT/s 3 A 60 W 3.00 M

Hama USB-C-Cable USB 2.0 480 MBIT/s 3 A 60 W 3.00 M | A long USB-C cable for data and power

Short cables can leave your device awkwardly close to a socket or computer. This 3-metre Hama USB-C cable gives you more room to place connected equipment, while its USB 2.0 rating supports data transfer at up to 480 Mbit/s. It’s also rated for 3 A and 60 W, so the cable’s stated power capacity is clear before you choose it for a charging setup. The USB-C connection makes it a straightforward option when the equipment you want to connect has USB-C ports. In black, it’s a practical, low-key cable for a desk or home setup. Its main strength is the combination of a useful length and clearly stated data and power ratings. Just bear in mind that the 480 Mbit/s figure is a USB 2.0 data rate, rather than a high-speed data specification.

Choosing the right length and rating

At 3 metres, this cable gives you more reach than a short lead, which can make a difference when the connected device needs to sit away from the computer or power source. The length is the part you’ll notice in day-to-day placement; the ratings help you decide if the cable suits the task. For data, its stated maximum is 480 Mbit/s. For power, the listed figures are 3 A and 60 W. Those numbers describe different aspects of the cable, so consider both if you intend to use it for data and power. If your priority is a faster data connection, the USB 2.0 rating is the key detail to weigh up.
