Ilford OmniJet Studio Satin Photo RC Paper 250gsm 43,2cm x 30m

Ilford OmniJet Studio Satin Photo RC Paper 250gsm 43,2cm x 30m | Satin photo printing in a long roll

What sets this paper apart is the combination of a satin finish and a long, 43.2 cm-wide roll. It suits photographers, studios and print makers who want photo paper in roll form and have a specific satin finish in mind. The 30 m length gives you room to plan a run of prints, rather than working from a short sheet pack; the 250 gsm weight is another useful detail when comparing papers for a job. Choose it when the finish and roll format match the work you want to produce. It’s a focused option, not a paper to buy on weight alone: the surface choice matters just as much. I’d start by checking the intended print layout against the roll width, then decide whether satin is the look you want for the finished images.

Choosing the format

A roll makes most sense when your print plans are built around roll-fed material, or when you want to work through a longer length of paper in a planned session. Think about the largest image width you need and how many prints you expect to make; those decisions help you judge whether this format fits your workflow. The 43.2 cm width is the key measurement to keep in view when laying out a job. Allow for the way your prints will be arranged, rather than treating the full width as image area. That’s a practical distinction, and one worth settling before you prepare a batch of files.

The name identifies this as satin photo RC paper, so it’s best approached as a finish-led purchase. If satin is what you’re after, the product title gives you the paper type, weight and roll dimensions in one place for comparing options. Keep those details together when planning a print job: the format affects layout, while the chosen surface is part of the image’s final presentation. For a considered purchase, match the roll to a specific project rather than relying on the word “photo” alone.
