Ilford Photo VCSELECT66M 17.8x24 100
Ilford Photo VC Select 6.6M 17.8 × 24, 100 | A defined format for darkroom printing
Without a dedicated paper pack, it’s harder to keep a darkroom print session organised around one consistent sheet size. The Ilford Photo VC Select 6.6M is a photographic printing product in a 17.8 × 24 format, with 100 in the product title. It suits darkroom photographers who want a supply of this particular size for making prints and working through a printing session. A consistent format makes it easier to plan a run of images or keep a set of prints uniform in size. The 100 quantity gives you a pack for repeated printing rather than a single sheet. This is a focused option if the 17.8 × 24 format fits the prints you have in mind; it’s less suited to a session built around several different print sizes. The name identifies it as VC Select, so it’s aimed at photographers choosing this Ilford product line for their printing work.
Specialist Note
At the enlarger, I’d plan the session around the 17.8 × 24 sheet size and keep the finished prints consistent from image to image. That fixed format is handy when you’re making a small series or building a set for the same presentation. The 100 in the product title makes this a pack for repeated printing, so you can work through several images without treating each sheet as a separate purchase. I’d recommend it to darkroom printers who already know this format suits their work. The main limitation is exactly that: you’re committing to one listed size, rather than a range of formats.
