JJC JM R2 (II) Radio Frequency Wireless Remotecontrol

JJC JM R2 (II) Radio Frequency Wireless Remotecontrol | Control your camera remotely

Set up a self-portrait or a group shot, then operate the camera without standing beside it. The JJC JM R2 (II) is a radio frequency wireless remote control, made for photographers who want to control a camera from a distance. That can make it easier to get yourself into the frame, or to work from a chosen shooting position instead of returning to the camera for each adjustment. Its defining detail is the radio frequency connection; the product name gives no further operating details, so I’d keep expectations focused on remote control rather than assume particular functions. For a simple setup where the camera is placed first and you want to operate it remotely, that’s the job this accessory is intended to do. It’s a specialist item, so its usefulness depends on matching it to the camera you plan to use.

Planning a shot with remote control

Remote operation can change how you approach a photograph: you can settle on a composition, move into position and make the frame with you in it. It also gives you a practical way to think through the shot before you begin. Choose the viewpoint, check what will be inside the frame and decide where you’ll stand. Those choices matter more than adding another accessory to the setup. If you’re taking a group picture, you can arrange everyone before stepping into place; for a self-portrait, you can work on your pose without asking someone else to operate the camera. The JM R2 (II) is best considered for these straightforward situations, where remote camera control is the point. Because camera fit is essential for a remote control, make sure the exact model is supported before buying.
