It’s made for Go 3S owners who want more control in bright outdoor light, rather than letting a sunlit scene dictate the exposure. An ND filter reduces the light reaching the camera; choosing a stronger level gives you more room to use a slower shutter when you want motion to look less sharply frozen. The four options range from the gentler ND8 to the strongest ND64, so you can choose a level to suit the conditions. That makes the kit particularly relevant for daytime clips of movement, such as people crossing a scene or waves breaking near shore. It’s a focused accessory for the Go 3S. In softer light, the lower-strength filter—or no ND filter—will usually be the more sensible starting point.
Specialist Note
At midday, a cyclist crosses a sunlit plaza in the Go 3S frame; that’s when this kit earns its place. I’d begin with ND8 if the light is bright but not harsh, then move toward ND64 under hard sun when I want to reduce exposure enough to use a slower shutter and keep movement from looking too crisp. The labels matter: ND64 cuts far more light than ND8, so you can choose a strength instead of relying on one fixed level. For a moving-water clip, adjust the shutter after fitting a filter and judge the motion in the preview. As daylight fades, step back to ND8 or remove the filter; the strongest option can cost too much light.
