Slow a bright-day shutter speed for flowing water, while managing reflections from glass or water, with the K&F Concept ND4-64 + CPL 2-IN-1 Filter Nano X - 82 mm. It combines a variable neutral-density range of ND4 to ND64 with a circular polariser, so you can adjust how much light reaches the camera and rotate the polarising effect to suit the scene. The ND range corresponds to two to six stops of light reduction: handy when you want motion blur in daylight without changing the look of the scene through aperture alone. The CPL function can reduce reflections from non-metallic surfaces and deepen the appearance of a blue sky. This filter suits photographers who want both controls in one filter, especially for landscapes, moving water and reflective windows. Its 82 mm size is for a lens with an 82 mm filter thread; the size needs to match for it to fit.
Specialist Note
Bright light can force you to choose between a fast shutter and the motion blur you actually want; this filter gives you room to slow things down. At ND64, six stops of reduction can turn a starting exposure of 1/60 sec into about 1/4 sec, a useful range for softening a stream or waterfall. At ND4, the two-stop reduction is a gentler option when you need less change. Then rotate the CPL effect to tame reflections on water or glass. I’d point landscape photographers with an 82 mm lens thread toward this combination when they want to travel with one filter for both jobs. For a moving subject, remember that a slower shutter will blur it too.
