K&F Concept ND64 Rechthoekige Filter For 4x5.65 Matte Box
K&F Concept ND64 Rectangular Filter For 4x5.65 Matte Box | Control bright-light exposures
Smoother motion and more controlled exposure in bright conditions are the reason to reach for an ND64 filter. This rectangular filter reduces the light reaching the camera by six stops, giving you room to use a slower shutter speed or a wider aperture when the scene is bright. It’s made for a 4x5.65 matte box, so it suits photographers and filmmakers whose setup uses that filter format. An ND64 is a strong fixed-density option: useful when you need a substantial reduction in light, rather than a small adjustment. For example, it can help make moving water appear softer in daylight, or let you keep a chosen aperture in a bright scene. The filter’s job is straightforward, but its strength makes it worth planning your exposure around.
Specialist Note
The K&F Concept ND64 Rectangular Filter is best for cutting six stops of light in a bright scene. I’d consider it when you want a slower shutter for water or moving clouds; as a rough exposure example, 1/250 sec becomes about 1/4 sec after six stops, before any other adjustments. Its rectangular 4x5.65 format is intended for a matching matte box, which makes it a fit for a rig built around that format rather than a screw-on lens filter. It suits filmmakers and photographers who need a strong light reduction. One point to plan for: ND64 is a fixed strength, so it won’t give you variable density as the light changes.
