Kase Revolution Plus Mega Kit 62mm
Kase Revolution Plus Mega Kit 62mm | Control reflections and deepen skies
Reflections on water or glass can take attention away from the subject; a polarizing filter helps reduce them and can deepen the colour of a blue sky. The Kase Revolution Plus Mega Kit 62mm is a polarizing filter for photographers who want more control over those effects while shooting outdoors or through reflective surfaces. Its 62mm size is the key detail when matching it to a lens: the lens needs a 62mm filter thread. The effect depends on the angle of the light, so turning the filter while looking through the viewfinder or at the screen lets you judge the change in real time. It’s particularly useful for landscapes, architecture and scenes beside water, where glare can wash out colour or hide detail. The name identifies it as a Mega Kit, but the useful starting point is to match the 62mm size to your lens and use the polarizing effect where reflections are getting in the way.
Specialist Note
At 62mm, this filter is sized for a lens with a matching 62mm filter thread, so that’s the marking I’d check on the lens before choosing it. As a polarizing filter, it’s most helpful when you can see unwanted reflections or a pale-looking sky; turn it as you compose and stop where the surface detail or colour looks right to you. I’d suggest it to a landscape or travel photographer who often works near water, or photographs shopfronts and windows. One practical point: the strongest effect depends on the light’s direction, so the result can vary as you change where you’re standing. The Mega Kit name is part of the product title; the filter’s 62mm sizing is the specific detail to match.
