Kondor Blue KB-CC80-UR Canon C80 Cage Ultimate Rig V-Mount Space Grey | A cage-based rig for the Canon C80

Building a tripod-oriented setup around the Canon C80 starts with choosing the right kind of accessory. The Kondor Blue KB-CC80-UR Canon C80 Cage Ultimate Rig V-Mount Space Grey is a tripod accessory in a cage format, named for the Canon C80 and a V-Mount configuration. It suits filmmakers putting together a camera rig around that camera, particularly when they want to organise their setup as a cage-based rig rather than shop for a standalone tripod. The V-Mount designation is useful when narrowing down a product for a V-Mount rig plan; it’s part of this model’s identity, not a specification of what comes in the box. Its Space Grey finish gives the product a restrained look. This is a focused option for a C80 setup, rather than a general-purpose tripod accessory.

Specialist Note

Planning a C80 rig can get confusing when you’re choosing between a camera cage and a tripod accessory; this product brings those roles together in its name and category. I’d consider it when you’re building a cage-based setup for a locked-off interview or a studio production, and want the C80 rig to follow a V-Mount plan. The V-Mount label is the detail to match against your intended setup; don’t assume it tells you which parts are included. Space Grey is a subdued finish if you prefer your rig not to draw attention. It’s a specific C80 option, so it won’t suit a different camera system.
