Kondor Blue KB-MB-SLAR Matte Box Still Image-Lens-Adapterring-Set For Unscrew
Kondor Blue KB-MB-SLAR Matte Box Still Image-Lens-Adapterring-Set For Unscrew | Adapter rings for still-image lenses
Its specific role is to connect a still-image lens to a matte box using an adapter ring. That makes the Kondor Blue KB-MB-SLAR relevant to filmmakers building a setup around still-image lenses and needing the lens-to-matte-box connection. The product name describes it as a set for unscrew use, so it’s a focused fitting accessory rather than a matte box itself. It suits a camera user who already has a matte box and wants to work with a still-image lens in that setup. The appeal is straightforward: an adapter ring addresses the fitting between those two parts, rather than asking you to change the lens you want to use. Its value depends on that specific use; it isn’t a general-purpose camera accessory.
Specialist Note
One set is intended to solve a particular connection: getting a still-image lens into a matte-box setup. In practice, that makes sense for a video rig built around still-image lenses, where the matte box needs to sit in the lens arrangement. I’d think of the adapter ring as the fitting piece between the lens and the matte box, not as a substitute for either one. It may suit a filmmaker adapting a still-lens setup for a controlled interview shot or a product video. The product name points to unscrew use, so keep its role in that kind of setup in mind.
