The Venus Optics Laowa 12mm f/2.8 Zero-D lens for Nikon FX and DX is an ultra-wide fixed focal length lens, designed specifically to combat distortion. This enables the delivery of accurate reproduction of straight lines in the images, which makes this lens an ideal choice for landscape or architectural photography. The lens features 16 elements in 10 groups, including two aspherical and three extra-low dispersion lens elements. This, in turn, reduces both spherical and chromatic aberrations, which results in improved sharpness and minimized color shifting. Additionally, a dust and water-repellent coating has been applied to the front lens element, providing an added layer of protection when working in harsh weather conditions.

This lens is compatible with full-frame DLSR cameras, however, it can also be used with APS-C format cameras (with a 19.2mm equivalent focal length).
