Leofoto L Plate For Nikon D800/D800E Camera Body
Leofoto L Plate For Nikon D800/D800E Camera Body | Change orientation on a tripod
Leofoto L Plate For Nikon D800/D800E Camera Body is a tripod accessory made for the Nikon D800 and D800E. It suits photographers who use either body on a tripod and want to change between horizontal and vertical framing without rebuilding the whole setup. The L-shaped format supports the camera from its base or side, so you can make a portrait composition while keeping the camera attached to the tripod. That’s especially helpful for tripod work where careful framing matters: architecture, portraits, still life or landscape compositions. Its role is narrow and practical: it’s designed around these named camera bodies, rather than being a general camera accessory. If a D800 or D800E is your regular tripod camera, this plate is intended for that setup. It lets you concentrate on composing the next frame instead of making a separate support arrangement for each orientation.
Specialist Note
Changing orientation on a tripod becomes a simple repositioning step, rather than a reason to rebuild your support setup. The L profile gives a vertical frame a supported position on the tripod, which is handy for a full-length portrait or a narrow building facade. With a Nikon D800, or the D800E, I’d use it when I expect to make both horizontal and vertical compositions from one viewpoint; change the framing, then refine the composition before taking the shot. Its appeal is specific: it’s for those two named bodies, so I wouldn’t treat it as a shared plate for other camera bodies. For a D800 or D800E tripod setup, it keeps the orientation change straightforward.
