Leofoto L Plate For Sony A7II & A7RII
Leofoto L Plate For Sony A7II & A7RII | Switch framing on a tripod
Your tripod compositions can move from landscape to portrait without turning the camera sideways on the head. This Leofoto L plate is made for the Sony A7II and A7RII, giving owners of those two camera bodies an L-shaped option for tripod mounting. It’s designed for photographers who want to change orientation while keeping the camera supported on a tripod. That can help when you move from a horizontal building view to a vertical composition, or set up a portrait after arranging a landscape frame. The appeal is practical: the L plate’s shape suits this change in orientation, and its stated compatibility is specific to two Sony models. If you use either camera on a tripod and regularly switch between horizontal and vertical framing, this is a focused accessory for that part of your workflow.
Landscape and portrait framing
An L plate gives you a way to mount the camera in either orientation while keeping it on the tripod head. That’s useful when changing the frame is more convenient than rebuilding your support setup. For example, you can compose a wide scene, then switch to a vertical crop for a portrait without having to tilt the camera over to one side. The plate is a tripod accessory, so its role is specific: supporting that mounting workflow with the compatible camera bodies.
Specialist Note
2 camera models are named for this plate: the Sony A7II and A7RII. That specific fit is the key point I’d want you to check against your kit list. As an L plate for tripod use, it’s meant to help you move between horizontal and vertical framing while keeping the camera supported. For a building or landscape, start with your horizontal composition, then switch to a vertical frame when the scene calls for it; the same approach can help when you’re setting up a portrait. It suits owners of those named Sony bodies who use a tripod regularly. Its scope is deliberately specific: the title names those two cameras.
