Marumi Circ Pola Filter Super DHG 52 mm
Marumi Circ Pola Filter Super DHG 52 mm | Reduce reflections and deepen blue skies
Bright reflections can hide detail in a lake, shop window or glossy surface just when you want the scene behind it to show. The Marumi Circ Pola Filter Super DHG 52 mm is a circular polarising filter for photographers who want more control over those reflections and the appearance of a blue sky. Rotate the filter while looking through the camera to adjust the effect: you can often reduce glare on water or glass, and make a blue sky look deeper. It can also help foliage look richer by reducing reflected light. The filter’s 52 mm size is the key fit detail: it’s intended for a lens with a matching 52 mm filter thread. That makes it a practical option for landscape, travel and everyday photography when reflections are getting in the way. The result depends on the light and your shooting angle, so you can dial in a subtle change rather than treating it as an all-or-nothing effect.
Specialist Note
Glare across water or glass can take attention away from the subject, and this filter gives you a way to control it at the lens. The 52 mm size means it suits a lens with a matching filter thread, so check the marking on the front of your lens before choosing it. As a circular polariser, it’s designed to be turned to vary the effect; for a lake, rotate it while watching the reflections until more of the water’s detail comes through. For a blue-sky landscape, adjust it while framing to deepen the sky. The honest limitation is that the result changes with the direction of the light, so it won’t remove every reflection in every scene.
