Marumi Protect Filter Exus 82 mm
Marumi Protect Filter Exus 82 mm | A simple protective layer for your lens
Without a protection filter, the front of a lens is exposed to everyday handling. The Marumi Protect Filter Exus adds a layer in front of it, helping shield the front element from dust, fingerprints and accidental contact. Its purpose is straightforward: protection, rather than changing colour or exposure. That makes it a sensible addition to a lens you carry regularly, particularly when you’re taking it in and out of a bag or working in busy surroundings. You can also clean the filter surface instead of wiping the lens itself. Keep using a lens cap when storing your camera; a filter is a barrier, not a cover for the whole lens. The 82 mm size is intended for a lens that accepts an 82 mm filter.
Everyday protection
A protection filter is most useful when it can stay in place during regular use. Fit it before heading out, and you have a layer in front of the lens while you’re handling the camera. It won’t protect the rest of your equipment, so sensible storage and careful handling still matter.
Specialist Note
“Is the Marumi Protect Filter Exus 82 mm the right size for my lens?” It is if your lens takes an 82 mm filter. I’d match that diameter before buying, rather than relying on the camera model alone. The black colour keeps the filter’s appearance discreet on your setup. This suits photographers who want a protection filter left on for everyday carrying, or who work in busy places where the front of a lens can get brushed during handling. Fit it before packing the camera, and keep the lens cap on when it’s put away. One limit to bear in mind: the filter protects the front, not the barrel or the rest of the lens.
