Marumi Slim Fit Circ Pola Filter 67 mm
Marumi Slim Fit Circ Pola Filter 67 mm | Manage reflections in bright scenes
Reflections on a shop window can hide the display behind it, while glare on water can pull attention away from the view. The Marumi Slim Fit Circ Pola Filter is a circular polarizing filter for controlling that kind of reflected light and helping colours look clearer in suitable conditions. It’s useful for photographers who often shoot through glass, photograph water or want more control over a bright sky. The effect depends on the direction of the light and your position, so it won’t remove every reflection in every scene. Its slim-fit design is intended to keep the filter profile low, and the 67 mm size identifies the filter diameter. Choose it when those polarizing effects are useful in your work, rather than as a general protective filter. It gives you a way to shape the light reaching the lens, with the result changing as the scene changes.
Specialist Note
The slim-fit ring keeps the filter’s profile low, which is a thoughtful detail when you’d rather avoid adding bulk at the front of the lens. This is a 67 mm filter, so match that diameter to the filter size your lens accepts; the number refers to the filter, not the focal length. I’d suggest it to someone who regularly photographs shop windows or wants to reduce reflections in water: adjust the polarizing effect while looking through the viewfinder or at the screen, and stop when the reflection is reduced to the level you want. The black finish is a discreet look, but the result still depends on the angle of the light.
