Mofage Pro Duo Series FSND & Glimmer - ND filters from 0.3 to 1.2

Bright daylight calls for a different filter strength from a softer, more atmospheric look. The Mofage Pro Duo Series FSND & Glimmer kit combines four ND strengths, two Glimmer filters and four Pure Clear filters for use with the POCO filter adapter. It’s aimed at photographers building a filter setup around that adapter, with fixed and flexible filter options that can be changed or stacked to create different combinations. Choose between ND 0.3, 0.6, 0.9 and 1.2 to manage the amount of light reaching the lens, or select a 1/8 or 1/4 Glimmer filter for a Glimmer effect. The four Pure Clear filters round out the set with clear filter elements. That range makes the kit useful for adjusting light in bright conditions, changing the look of an image with Glimmer, and arranging different filter combinations for a particular scene. The flexible filters are intended to be used together with fixed filters.

Filter options and combinations

  • Four ND strengths: The set includes ND 0.3, 0.6, 0.9 and 1.2. Having several grades in one kit gives you a choice of light reduction, rather than a single fixed ND option.
  • Two Glimmer grades: Select between 1/8 and 1/4 Glimmer filters to vary the effect. The two strengths give you a more subtle and a stronger option within the same filter system.
  • Four Pure Clear filters: These clear elements are part of the kit alongside the ND and Glimmer filters. They add further filter pieces for arranging a combination in the POCO adapter.
  • Stackable and interchangeable: The filters can be combined or swapped to create different effects. Flexible filters are intended to work together with fixed filters, rather than as standalone pieces.
  • For the POCO filter adapter: This set is made for use with the POCO filter adapter. Its different filter types and strengths are grouped for use within that system.

Specialist Note

The kit takes away the need to build a filter selection one effect at a time: it brings four ND grades and two Glimmer strengths together for the POCO adapter. For a bright scene where you need light reduction, start with the ND 0.3 or 0.6; move to 0.9 or 1.2 when you need a stronger grade. For a Glimmer look, the 1/8 and 1/4 filters give you two levels to choose between, so you can settle on the effect that suits the image. I’d point this set towards someone who wants options for both light control and a Glimmer treatment in one compatible system. Bear in mind that the flexible filters are meant to be paired with fixed filters.
