MOJOGEAR 179cm Tripod: Tripod Monopod / Horizontal Arm

MOJOGEAR 179cm Tripod: Tripod Monopod / Horizontal Arm | Steady support in tight spaces

At a busy sports sideline, a full tripod can take up space you simply don’t have. The MOJOGEAR 179cm is a monopod for situations like that: it gives you a support point for a long lens while leaving you free to follow the action. It’s also suited to wildlife photography, where supporting a long lens can make tracking a moving subject easier. At events, its smaller footprint is useful when people are close by or you need to move between positions. The name also identifies a horizontal arm, giving this setup another way to position your camera. Think of it as a practical support for photographers who need to stay mobile, rather than a stand intended to occupy one spot for an entire shoot.

Where this setup makes sense

For sport, it suits sideline shooting where you need to keep pace with changing play and can’t spread tripod legs into a walkway. For wildlife, it’s aimed at working with long lenses while following a subject. At an event, the monopod format helps keep your setup more contained in a crowded space. In each case, the appeal is support without giving up the ability to reposition.
