Nedis CAT6 Network Cable RJ45 M RJ45 M U/UTP 20.0m Outdoors Round Pe Black Label
Nedis CAT6 Network Cable RJ45 M RJ45 M U/UTP 20.0m Outdoors Round Pe Black Label | Connect network points across longer outdoor routes
The 20.0 m length is the defining choice: it gives you room to route a network connection between points that aren’t close together. This Nedis cable is a CAT6 network cable with an RJ45 male plug at each end, for a direct cable run between matching network connections. Its title specifies outdoor use, a round form and a black PE jacket, so it’s aimed at installations where the cable needs to follow a route outside rather than simply sit beside a device indoors. The U/UTP designation identifies its cable type. If you’re planning a longer connection between network equipment, the fixed 20-metre length is the detail to consider first; it may suit your route, or leave more cable than you need. Measure the path you intend to take, not just the distance between the endpoints. That small bit of planning can make the finished run neater.
Planning the cable run
Think through where the cable will travel before you choose its route. A run around a room or along a building can be longer than the straight-line gap between the two connections, and bends or changes in direction add to the distance. Leave some slack at the ends so the plugs can reach their connections without pulling on the cable. Keep the route clear of spots where it could be pinched, snagged or repeatedly stepped on, and secure it neatly where appropriate. These are practical installation considerations, not extra performance claims about this cable. The product name identifies it for outdoor use, but it doesn’t give a protection rating, so don’t assume a particular level of resistance to water or sunlight. Match the actual route and conditions to your installation needs.
