Nedis Charger 20 W PD3.0 USB-C 1.00 M | A simple USB-C charging setup

What sets this Nedis charger apart is the clear, compact combination of a 20 W rating and a one-metre USB-C cable. It suits anyone who wants a straightforward adapter for everyday charging, without choosing a separate cable for the setup. The charger uses PD 3.0, and its listed current ratings are 1.67 A, 2.22 A and 3.0 A. Those numbers are useful when comparing the charger with the charging requirements of a device; they don’t, by themselves, establish that every USB-C device will charge at its fastest rate. For that, the device also needs to support the relevant charging standard and power level. A fixed one-metre cable keeps the setup simple, though it does mean you’ll want the outlet close enough for the cable to reach. If that suits your space, this is a practical option for a familiar USB-C charging routine.

Choosing a USB-C charger

When selecting an adapter, it’s worth matching the charger’s stated output with the needs of the device you plan to charge. USB-C describes the connector; PD 3.0 describes the charging standard named for this Nedis model. Those details help you compare products, but the device itself determines which charging options it can use. The listed current figures provide another point of reference, rather than a promise that one figure will apply in every situation. A one-metre cable is a modest reach: that can keep a charger and device close together, but may be limiting if the nearest outlet is some distance away. Consider where you normally charge and how much slack you prefer before choosing a cable length. For a tidy, uncomplicated setup beside an outlet, the included length may be just right.
