Permajet Alpha Natural Rag 310 Roll 24INCHES 15m

Permajet Alpha Natural Rag 310 Roll 24INCHES 15m | A long roll for considered print runs

Working around fixed sheet sizes can interrupt a print run, especially when you want to plan several prints from one roll. The Permajet Alpha Natural Rag 310 is photo paper in a roll format, measuring 24 inches wide and 15 metres long. That gives you a defined width to plan around and a substantial length to allocate across a run. It suits photographers and printmakers who are looking for this specific Permajet paper and prefer to work from a roll rather than a pack of sheets. The name identifies it as Alpha Natural Rag 310; the title doesn't give further detail about the paper’s surface or print characteristics, so I wouldn’t want to guess at those. What’s clear is the format: a 24-inch roll, 15 metres in length. If those dimensions suit the way you plan and produce your prints, this is a straightforward option to consider.

Planning around the roll

Before starting a print run, it’s useful to map out the intended print sizes and how many prints you hope to make. The 24-inch width gives you a clear maximum roll width to work within; the 15-metre length gives you a total length to allocate. This can help you think through the run before you begin, rather than treating each print as a separate sheet purchase. Keep your planned layouts and any trimming allowance in mind when estimating how far the roll will go. The practical benefit here is simple: you can plan from the roll’s stated dimensions. There’s no need to infer a surface finish or make assumptions about how the paper will look in a particular print.
