Permajet Gloss Instant DRY 271 10x8INCHES 25SH

Permajet Gloss Instant DRY 271 10x8INCHES 25SH | Gloss photo paper in a practical 10 × 8-inch format

The 10 × 8-inch sheet is the defining choice here: it gives you a set print size to plan a photograph around, rather than an unspecified sheet format. Permajet Gloss Instant DRY 271 is photo paper for photographers who want to make prints at home or in a studio and prefer a glossy finish. The name also identifies it as instant-dry paper, so it suits a workflow where prints are handled soon after printing. Its 25-sheet pack is a manageable quantity for a small run, a selection of finished images or trying a print size before buying a larger amount. This is a specific format, not a general-purpose paper description: you know the finish, sheet size and pack count from the product name. If your image is composed for a different shape, allow for a crop or border when planning the print.

Choosing images for this format

A 10 × 8-inch rectangle has a 5:4 aspect ratio. That makes it straightforward to judge whether an image will fit the sheet’s proportions: a photograph already framed at 5:4 can retain its shape, while a wider or taller composition may need a crop or space around it. Think about that before printing, especially if important detail sits close to the edges. Gloss is the finish named for this paper, so it’s the relevant detail to consider when deciding how you want a print to look and feel. The “271” designation is part of the product name; it’s best treated as an identifying number rather than a claim about a particular print result. With 25 sheets in the pack, you can plan a short batch and keep the format consistent across those prints.
