PolarPro Chroma VND/PL 2-5 - 67mm - McKinnon Series
PolarPro Chroma VND/PL 2-5 - 67mm - McKinnon Series | Variable density and polarization in one filter
Without a filter, changing light usually means changing your camera settings or accepting a different exposure. The PolarPro Chroma VND/PL 2-5 combines variable neutral density and polarizing functions in one 67mm filter. That pairing is useful when you want to control the light reaching the lens while also managing reflections. For video, variable density can help you keep a chosen shutter setting as daylight changes; for stills, polarization can help reduce distracting reflections on water or glass. The 2-5 designation gives the filter a defined adjustment range, making it suited to situations where that range covers the change in light you need to manage. It’s aimed at outdoor photographers and filmmakers who want both kinds of control in one filter. The McKinnon Series name identifies this version; the practical fit detail is its 67mm size.
Specialist Note
“Can I use the Chroma VND/PL 2-5 for both exposure and reflections?” Yes—that’s what the VND/PL designation brings together: variable neutral density and polarization. I’d consider it for outdoor video when you want to keep a chosen shutter setting as brightness changes, or for stills of water and shop windows where reflections compete with your subject. The 2-5 range is the boundary to keep in mind: it gives you a defined adjustment span, not every possible level of light reduction. Its 67mm size is the key fit detail. It suits photographers and filmmakers who value having both functions in one filter.
