Portkeys DC To 5-PIN Aviation 40 cm Cable

Portkeys DC To 5-PIN Aviation 40 cm Cable | A short link between connector types

When a camera rig is arranged for a DC connection at one end and a 5-pin aviation connection at the other, this is the cable to look at. It’s a Portkeys cable with those connector formats and a stated length of 40 cm. That makes it a short connection for a setup where the relevant equipment sits close together; it’s not the kind of cable to choose when you need to span a rig. The specific appeal is its defined DC-to-5-pin aviation layout, rather than a general-purpose cable description. If that’s the connection your setup calls for, the name gives you the key details at a glance: Portkeys, DC to 5-pin aviation, and 40 cm. No extra claims are needed to explain its role.

In practical terms, a 40 cm cable suits a compact arrangement with little distance between the connection points. That shorter reach can help avoid leaving a long loop of cable between nearby parts of a rig, though the available routing depends on how your equipment is positioned. It’s a straightforward item, and the honest point to keep in mind is the length: measure the route you need before choosing it. The connector description is just as important. This is specifically a DC-to-5-pin aviation cable, so its value is in matching that connection format—not in being a substitute for a cable with different ends. For a close-together setup that calls for these connector types, it keeps the choice simple.
