Rycote Tascam DR-100/DR100MKII Audio Kit
Rycote Tascam DR-100/DR100MKII Audio Kit | A kit named for two Tascam recorders
What sets this Rycote audio kit apart is its clear link to two named recorder models: the Tascam DR-100 and DR100MKII. That makes it especially relevant if one of those recorders is already at the centre of your audio setup and you’re looking for an accessory kit identified for it. Rather than choosing by brand name alone, you can use the recorder model as your starting point. It suits DR-100 and DR100MKII owners who want to explore a Rycote kit for their recording setup, whether they’re preparing for spoken-word recording or gathering audio in the field. The product name gives you a useful way to narrow your search and keep the recorder itself in view while choosing accessories. Its appeal is focused: this isn’t presented as a general-purpose kit, but as one named for those two Tascam models. If your setup uses one of them, that specific naming is the practical reason to consider it.
Specialist Note
A common first-buy mistake with recorder accessories is choosing by maker and overlooking which recorder a kit is named for. Here, Rycote’s title specifically identifies the Tascam DR-100 and DR100MKII, so I’d use that model name as your first check when considering it for a spoken-word setup or field recording. The other useful detail is that this is described as an audio kit, not simply a single accessory; that helps you distinguish it when comparing options for either named recorder. Its scope is specific, so I wouldn’t assume the title establishes a fit for other recorders. If your setup centres on one of the two named Tascams, this is the Rycote kit to investigate.
