Optical performance

The lens is built with 15 elements in 12 groups, including HR and ED glass to help reduce flare, ghosting, chromatic aberration, and unnecessary light dispersion. A UMC multi-coating further improves light transmission while maintaining contrast and clarity. The result is sharp, detailed footage with a pleasingly soft background blur.

Made for filmmaking

As a cine lens, this model uses T-stops for more accurate light transmission values than standard F-stops. It also features a geared focus ring for use with follow focus systems, allowing precise adjustments without touching the lens directly. The stepless aperture ring makes exposure changes smooth and seamless during recording, while quiet operation helps keep audio free from distracting noise.
