SanDisk Ultra Slider Type-C Flash Drive Ext 1TB | Room for a large file collection

You’re sorting a folder of photos, documents or video and want to keep it on a separate drive. The SanDisk Ultra Slider Type-C Flash Drive Ext 1TB is an external flash drive with 1TB of capacity, giving you room to keep a sizeable collection together rather than split it across several smaller drives. It suits anyone who wants portable file storage for work, personal files or a collection they’d like to keep close at hand. The Type-C connection is intended for devices with a matching Type-C port, so it’s worth considering the connection on the device you plan to use. There’s no speed figure to rely on here, so I wouldn’t choose it on the assumption that it’s made for especially fast transfers. Its clearest appeal is straightforward: a high stated capacity in a flash drive format, for carrying or organising files in one place.

Specialist Note

The slider mechanism lets you move the connector out when you’re ready to plug in; that simple detail makes the drive’s connection easy to reach without a separate cap to keep track of. Its Type-C connector suits a device with a matching port, which is handy for moving a current project folder between compatible devices. I’d also use the 1TB capacity to keep a personal photo or video collection together: make clear folders by year or project, then copy the set you need. One point to keep in mind: this is a flash drive, not an SD card for a camera’s card slot.
