Saramonic LavMicro U1A Tie Mic Lightning 2m
Saramonic LavMicro U1A Tie Mic Lightning 2m | Keep speech close and clear
Keep a speaker’s voice close to the recording, even when the recording device isn’t right beside them. The Saramonic LavMicro U1A is a wired tie microphone with a Lightning connector and a 2m cable, made for recording speech with a device that has a Lightning port. It suits interviews, talking-head videos, presentations and other situations where you want the microphone near the person speaking while the device stays within reach. Place the mic on the speaker’s clothing, then position the recording device up to 2m away. That gives you some flexibility in how you frame a shot or arrange a small recording setup, without asking the speaker to hold the device. It’s a straightforward option when your priority is capturing spoken audio through a Lightning connection. The cable does mean you’ll need to keep the device within its reach.
Specialist Note
2 metres gives you room to place the recording device off to the side while keeping the tie mic with the person speaking. I’d consider it for a seated interview or a presentation: position the mic on the speaker’s clothing, then keep the Lightning-connected device within the cable’s reach. That way, the speaker doesn’t have to hold it during the recording. The Lightning plug makes this a specific fit for a device with a Lightning port, so it’s worth matching the connection to your recording setup. One practical limit is that this is a wired mic; the speaker and device remain linked by the cable.
