Sirui 75mm Anamorphic Lens (E Mount) | Shape cinematic shots with a 75mm view

On a dialogue scene where you want a composed, cinematic frame rather than a broad view of the set, a 75mm anamorphic lens has a clear role. This interchangeable lens is made for Sony E-mount cameras and suits video work and filmmaking. Its anamorphic design gives filmmakers a different way to shape the frame, while the 75mm focal length lends itself to tighter shots: think a character’s face in a scene, or a carefully framed detail that helps tell the story. It’s a specialist focal length, so it’s most at home when you can plan your camera position and shot size. For a wider establishing view, you’ll want to build your setup around a different focal length. If you’re working on a film project with Sony E-mount equipment and want a dedicated lens for more considered shots, this Sirui is a focused tool for that job.

Specialist Note

Trying to frame a scene with more cinematic intent can be tricky when a standard view doesn’t give you the look you want. This lens is anamorphic, so it gives you an option for shaping the image around that filmmaking style; the 75mm focal length also keeps the frame on the tighter side. On a Sony APS-C body, that gives a 112.5mm-equivalent field of view, which can work well for close dialogue coverage or a detail shot without crowding the subject. I’d plan it as a deliberate shot lens, not the one you reach for to establish a whole room. It suits filmmakers who can compose around that narrower view.
