SmallHD Gold Mount Battery Bracket | Mount a Gold Mount battery on your monitor rig

Without a dedicated battery bracket, there’s no purpose-made place on the monitor rig to mount a battery. The SmallHD Gold Mount Battery Bracket is an accessory for field-monitor setups built around Gold Mount batteries. Its job is a specific one: provide a bracket for that battery format, rather than serve as a battery or a monitor itself. That makes it relevant to camera operators and crew who want the battery mounted as part of a field-monitor rig, whether they’re monitoring a scene on location or working at a video village. The product name identifies both the Gold Mount format and the SmallHD brand, so it’s a focused option rather than a general-purpose power accessory. If your setup calls for a Gold Mount battery bracket, this keeps the choice straightforward. It’s best suited to a rig where that format is already part of the plan.

Specialist Note

The main limitation is its narrow purpose: this is a Gold Mount battery bracket, not a complete monitor-power solution. That focus is also the reason to consider it when you’re building a SmallHD field-monitor rig around Gold Mount. For a location setup, use the bracket to make the battery part of the monitor rig; for a fixed monitoring position, it gives the same battery format a dedicated place on that setup. I’d keep the decision practical: start with the Gold Mount format you need, then make sure this bracket suits the particular monitor rig you’re assembling. It’s a straightforward accessory when those pieces line up, but it won’t replace the battery or monitor.
