It’s a flash trigger and transmitter for photographers who want to work with flash away from the camera, including portrait and product shooters. The transmitter’s job is to trigger the flash; it doesn’t shape the light for you. That leaves the look of the photograph to your flash placement and the way you light the subject. For a portrait, moving the flash away from the camera gives you more scope to decide where light falls across a face. For a product photograph, it lets you work with light coming from a direction other than the camera. This set is best suited to those straightforward off-camera flash setups, where you want to fire a flash while working at the camera rather than beside the light.
