TetherTools TetherPro Optima 10G Mobile Tethering Kit 6' (1.8m) Straig

TetherTools TetherPro Optima 10G Mobile Tethering Kit 6' (1.8m) Straight | A compact tablet tethering setup for location work

A cable under tension can put unwanted strain on a connection, and carrying separate pieces for a mobile tethering setup adds clutter on location. The TetherTools TetherPro Optima 10G Mobile Tethering Kit 6' (1.8m) Straight combines a 1.8 m USB 3.2 data cable, a tablet mount and a cable support in one kit. It’s intended for photographers using an iPad or tablet as part of a mobile shooting setup, particularly when a compact kit needs to travel between locations and pack away again. The included AeroTab Large ThreadMount fits tablets with a diagonal measurement from 330 mm to 500 mm. Its threaded receiver works with the supplied TetherGuard support, which holds the cable and reduces strain at the port. That arrangement is useful when a tablet is mounted during a shoot and the cable needs support rather than hanging freely from the connection. The orange cable is straight, and the Optima series is plug and play, with no camera-setting changes required. Use the kit for a mobile tethering station on location, a tablet-based workflow during a shoot, or a setup that needs to be packed down and moved. The kit keeps those three parts together; the tablet size range is the detail to check for fit.

Highlights

• 1.8 m USB 3.2 cable: The included TetherPro Optima 10G is a dedicated data-transfer cable. Its length gives a mobile tethering setup a defined cable run, while the USB 3.2 interface identifies the cable connection type.
• Straight orange cable: The cable has a straight configuration and a bright orange finish. That makes its form and colour easy to identify among the parts of this mobile kit.
• AeroTab Large ThreadMount: The mount is specified for tablets measuring 330–500 mm diagonally. This size range gives a concrete reference when checking whether the Large version matches the tablet used on a shoot.
• TetherGuard ThreadMount Support: This support secures the cable at the AeroTab’s integrated threaded receiver. By holding the cable there, it helps limit unwanted pull on the connected port.
• Integrated port support: The support is intended to protect the port from strain or load from the cable. That matters when a tablet is mounted and the cable needs to stay supported as part of the setup.
• Plug-and-play Optima cable: The Optima Cable Series works without changes to camera settings. That keeps the cable connection straightforward when starting a mobile app-based tethering workflow.
• Three-piece mobile kit: A cable, tablet mount and ThreadMount cable support are supplied together. Having these parts in one kit suits location work where the tethering station needs to be set up and packed away as a unit.
