Ulanzi UV01 Explosion-proof UV Filter 46mm
Ulanzi UV01 Explosion-proof UV Filter 46mm | UV filtering for 46mm lenses
Buying a filter in the wrong size is an easy mistake, and a filter that doesn’t match your lens won’t help with your setup. The Ulanzi UV01 is a 46mm UV filter, so its key detail is simple: it’s intended for lenses with a matching 46mm filter size. The UV designation tells you the kind of filter it is; the product name also describes it as explosion-proof. That makes it worth considering if you’re shopping specifically for a UV filter and want that construction claim in the product description. It suits photographers who already know their lens takes a 46mm filter and want a straightforward option for outdoor daylight photography. The size is also the main thing to keep in mind: it isn’t a universal fit. Match the filter size to your lens before choosing it, and you’ll know whether this particular Ulanzi belongs in your kit.
Specialist Note
The “explosion-proof” wording is a bold claim, so I wouldn’t take it as permission to subject the filter to impacts. The practical reason to choose this one is much simpler: it’s a UV filter in a clearly stated 46mm size. If your lens is marked 46mm, this gives you a direct match; if it has another filter size, this isn’t the one to buy. I’d consider it for a 46mm lens used for outdoor daylight photography, where you specifically want a UV filter in place. The product name identifies the filter type, but doesn’t give me a basis to promise a particular change in image appearance.
