Urth 43mm CPL Lens Filter Pro
Urth 43mm CPL Lens Filter Pro | Control reflections and colour
Urth 43mm CPL Lens Filter Pro is a 43mm circular polarizing filter for photographers who want more control over reflections in a scene. It’s suited to landscape, travel and everyday photography with a lens that takes a 43mm filter. A polarizer can reduce reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water and glass, making it easier to show detail beneath the surface or through a window. It can also deepen the appearance of a blue sky, depending on the angle you’re shooting from. To adjust the effect, rotate the filter while looking at the scene through your camera; small changes in angle can make a visible difference. This is most useful when you can take a moment to compose and fine-tune, rather than when you need to shoot quickly. The filter’s main appeal is that hands-on control: you can choose how much reflected light to suppress instead of relying on editing later.
Specialist Note
Turn the filter as you frame the shot, and you can judge the effect as it changes—there’s no menu to dig through. The 43mm size makes this a specific match for a lens with a 43mm filter thread, so it’s worth matching that measurement before buying. As a CPL, it’s particularly handy for photographing water or shopfront windows: rotate it until reflections ease and the detail you want becomes clearer. For a landscape, adjust the angle while watching the sky; the result depends on your shooting direction, so don’t expect the same effect in every frame. It does reduce light, which can mean a slower shutter speed. I’d keep that in mind for moving subjects.
