Urth 55mm Variable ND2 32 + CPL Filter Pro

Urth 55mm Variable ND2 32 + CPL Filter Pro | Control light and reflections

Smoother-looking water and more controlled exposure in bright light are the results this filter is designed to help you get. The Urth combines a variable ND2–32 filter with a CPL polarising filter, so you can adjust how much light reaches the camera while also managing polarised reflections. It suits photographers and video makers who want to shape exposure with a filter rather than rely only on camera settings, especially when working outdoors in changeable light. The variable range gives you room to adjust for different conditions; the CPL function can reduce reflections from surfaces such as water and glass, and can deepen the appearance of a blue sky when the angle is right. It’s a practical option for landscapes, reflective scenes and video where you want more control over the image as you work.

Using the filter

For a landscape, use the ND function to bring down the light and choose a slower shutter speed for movement in water or clouds. For a reflective window or a bright sky, the CPL function can help manage glare and reflections. Polarisation depends on the angle between the camera and the light, so the effect can vary as you reframe. Treat it as a control to adjust while composing, rather than expecting the same result in every direction.
