Urth 95mm CPL Lens Filter Pro

Urth 95mm CPL Lens Filter Pro | Manage reflections and sky contrast

Without a polarizing filter, reflections on water and glass can dominate a scene, and bright skies may look pale in a photograph. The Urth 95mm CPL Lens Filter Pro is a circular polarizing filter you can rotate to adjust those effects as you compose. It suits photographers whose lenses take a 95mm filter and who want more control over reflections in landscapes, architecture or scenes beside water. A CPL can deepen the appearance of a blue sky and reduce unwanted glare, though the result depends on the light and your shooting angle. It’s a practical tool when changing your position isn’t enough to manage reflections, or when you want to shape the look of a scene before taking the picture rather than relying on editing later. The filter’s name identifies its 95mm size and CPL type; the title doesn’t provide further construction or performance details.

Where a CPL helps

Turn the filter while looking through the viewfinder or at the screen to see how the reflections change, then stop when the effect looks right. The adjustment is most noticeable when you’re working at an angle to the reflected light. For a landscape, that can help give a blue sky more presence; around water or windows, it can make reflections less prominent. The effect is adjustable, so you can keep some reflection when it’s part of the picture.
