Urth 95mm Variable ND2 32 Filter Pro
Urth 95mm Variable ND2 32 Filter Pro | Adjustable light for bright scenes
Urth 95mm Variable ND2–32 Filter Pro gives you adjustable neutral-density control across an ND2–32 range, so you can cut incoming light without changing your lens aperture or ISO. It’s built for photographers who shoot video in bright conditions or make still images in sunlight, and it’s especially useful when you want motion blur from a longer exposure or need to keep a chosen aperture in a bright scene. The variable range lets you adjust the light reduction to suit the scene, rather than relying on one fixed density. At the ND32 end, it reduces light by a factor of 32, equivalent to five stops; ND2 is a factor of two, or one stop. The 95mm size is for lenses that accept 95mm filters, so it’s worth matching the filter diameter to the lens you plan to use.
Specialist Note
Filmmakers shooting in bright daylight, especially when they want water or traffic to retain a sense of movement, are the people I’d point towards this filter. Its ND2–32 span gives you room to cut one to five stops of light; at the dense end, a 1/125 s exposure can become roughly 1/4 s while keeping the same aperture and ISO. That’s a practical way to bring movement into a still frame, though you’ll need a steady support for that shutter time. The 95mm size matters too: choose it only for a lens that takes a 95mm filter. I like that broad adjustment for daylight video, where you may want to hold your chosen aperture as the light changes.
