Wooden Camera A00525 Bolt-On Accessory Plate Adapter Flat 1/4-20
Wooden Camera A00525 Bolt-On Accessory Plate Adapter Flat 1/4-20 | Add a defined rig connection
To add a defined connection point to a camera-rig build, the Wooden Camera A00525 Bolt-On Accessory Plate Adapter Flat 1/4-20 gives you a flat adapter with a 1/4-20 thread. It’s aimed at rig builders who want to bolt an accessory plate into their layout and connect a compatible accessory at that threaded point. The flat format suits builds where you want the adapter to sit as a plate-style part of the setup, rather than reach for a general-purpose adapter. Its best use is straightforward: plan the plate position around the accessory you want to mount, then use the 1/4-20 connection where that thread matches your part. This is a specialist component, not a universal fix for every rig. If your build calls for a bolt-on plate adapter and a 1/4-20 connection, it gives you a clear, simple way to join those pieces.
Specialist Note
A loose or improvised connection can make a rig layout harder to keep tidy; this adapter gives that part of the build a specific mounting point. I’d consider it for a custom camera-rig setup where an accessory plate needs to be bolted down and a compatible part needs a 1/4-20 thread. The bolt-on design means the plate is secured as part of the build, while the flat format suits layouts planned around a plate rather than an extended adapter. For a practical setup, position the plate where the accessory belongs, bolt the adapter on, then use the 1/4-20 connection. Do check that the accessory uses that thread: this adapter won’t solve a thread mismatch.
