Wooden Camera LW 15mm Baseplate (Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro)
Wooden Camera LW 15mm Baseplate (Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro) | A camera-specific base for your rig
When you’re putting together a tripod-based video setup around a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro, a baseplate is one of the parts to match carefully. This Wooden Camera model is named for that camera and for a 15mm setup, so it’s aimed at filmmakers building a rig around those specifics rather than looking for a general-purpose tripod accessory. Its black finish gives it a discreet look alongside a camera rig. The key point is the combination in the name: the camera model and the 15mm designation help you judge whether it belongs in the setup you’re planning. That makes it a straightforward option to consider when assembling a camera build for a locked-off shot, a tabletop interview or another tripod-led recording. Keep the rest of your rig in mind too; a baseplate is one part of a larger setup, and this product’s name alone doesn’t tell you what other components it includes.
For a camera-specific build
Start with the camera you’re rigging, then consider whether a 15mm baseplate is the type your setup calls for. This model is identified for the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro, which gives you a clear reference point when planning a build or replacing a baseplate in that camera setup. If you’re comparing accessories, use the full product name rather than relying on “baseplate” alone: the camera designation and 15mm detail are important parts of what this one is. That’s especially useful when you’re keeping a gear list for a particular video rig, or deciding which parts to research before putting the setup together. The product is listed as a tripod accessory, so it belongs in that part of your kit planning.
Specialist Note
The 15mm detail in the name is the first thing I’d use to place this baseplate in a rig plan: it points you towards a particular style of camera setup, rather than a generic plate for any build. It’s specifically named for the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro, which is helpful if that’s the camera you’re rigging for a tripod-based interview or a fixed product shot. I’d match the camera model and the 15mm requirement before choosing it, then plan the rest of the rig around those needs. The honest limit is that the name doesn’t tell us what other components are included, so treat it as a baseplate, not a complete rig.
