3 Legged Thing Ultra Clamp w/ QD4XP Plate Lava
3 Legged Thing Ultra Clamp w/ QD4XP Plate Lava | A clamp and plate for tripod setups
For adding a clamp and QD4XP plate to a tripod setup, the 3 Legged Thing Ultra Clamp w/ QD4XP Plate Lava brings those named components together in one accessory. It’s aimed at photographers who need this particular clamp-and-plate combination as part of their tripod arrangement. The practical appeal is straightforward: you can identify the product by its specific clamp and plate naming, rather than choosing a general tripod accessory and hoping it’s the one you need. The Lava version also has a distinct colour in your kit. This is a focused accessory, not a complete tripod solution; its value depends on the clamp and QD4XP plate being right for the setup you’re building. If those are the parts you’re after, this product gives you a clear, specific option to consider.
Specialist Note
The Lava colour gives the Ultra Clamp a clear visual cue in a mixed tripod kit, which can make it easier to pick out when you’re sorting your gear. Its clamp format is the defining part: think of it as the clamp element in a tripod arrangement, rather than a standalone support. The included name also identifies a QD4XP plate, so this is the specific combination to look at when that plate is part of your setup. I’d consider it for preparing a fixed tripod position for tabletop work or a static location frame, keeping the clamp-and-plate accessory with the relevant tripod kit. It’s a specialised piece, so its usefulness comes down to needing this exact combination.
