7Artisans 62mm Ulr Mrcuv Filter
7Artisans 62mm Ulr Mrcuv Filter | Straightforward UV filtration for 62mm lenses
For outdoor scenes, this 7Artisans UV filter gives you a simple way to filter ultraviolet light before it reaches the camera. It’s made for photographers who want UV filtration without adding a complicated control or changing how they shoot. The size is 62mm, so it’s intended for a lens with a matching filter thread. That makes it most useful when you already know the thread size of the lens you want to use it with. Fit it once, then carry on composing and shooting as usual. If you photograph landscapes, travel scenes or distant views, it offers a straightforward way to add UV filtration to that setup. Its appeal is simplicity: there’s no setting to adjust and no new shooting technique to learn.
The key check is the lens, not the camera body: the front filter thread needs to be 62mm. Filter sizes can differ between lenses, even when they’re used on the same camera, so this one is for a particular lens size rather than a universal fit. Once matched, it’s a practical option for anyone who specifically wants a UV filter in this diameter.
Specialist Note
New filter buyers often focus on the camera name and overlook the measurement that decides the fit. With this one, match the 62mm diameter to the thread on the front of your lens; that’s the detail that makes it usable on your setup. The UV-filter type is the other point to keep in mind: it’s for photographers who want UV filtration, for example while making outdoor landscapes or framing a distant view. I’d keep the choice simple and use it where that function is what you want. Its limitation is just as clear: a lens with a different thread size won’t take this 62mm filter directly.
