7Artisans AF40mm f/2.5 - Nikon Z-Mount - FullFrame - Black

7Artisans AF40mm f/2.5 - Nikon Z-Mount - FullFrame - Black | A natural view for street and travel

Choosing a 40mm focal length gives this prime a slightly wider view than a classic 50mm, while keeping your subject prominent in the frame. It’s a useful balance for street scenes and travel photographs where you want some of the surroundings without letting them take over. Made for Nikon Z full-frame cameras, the 7Artisans AF40mm f/2.5 is an interchangeable autofocus lens for photographers who prefer a straightforward, fixed focal length. Its maximum aperture of f/2.5 gives you room to work in softer light and some control over background blur, while the 57° angle of view helps keep the framing considered rather than overly broad. This is a lens for walking, noticing a moment and composing it with care—not for changing focal length from the camera. It also suits travel when you’d rather carry one standard prime and work within its perspective.

Street and travel framing

A fixed focal length encourages you to shape a picture by changing your position, rather than reaching for a zoom. That makes this lens a natural fit for details noticed on a walk, as well as street scenes where the setting matters alongside the person or subject. For travel, its standard-prime perspective can keep photographs feeling connected to the scene as you saw it. Autofocus gives you the option to let the camera handle focusing while you concentrate on framing.
