7Artisans Infinte 24mm T2.1 FullFrame DE-Clicked EF Mount | Wide views for controlled video

When a room feels cramped in the frame, a wide-angle lens can make it easier to show the space and the people in it. This 24mm prime is made for full-frame Canon EF cameras and suits filmmakers who want a manual lens for deliberate composition and focus. Its 84° angle of view gives you room to frame an interior, a group or a wider establishing shot without stepping as far back. The 7Artisans Infinte is an interchangeable lens, and its wide-angle view is most at home in video and filmmaking rather than as a general-purpose long-reach lens. Its Canon EF mount and full-frame format define the setup it’s intended for. For planned scenes, interviews or location work where you want to shape the frame yourself, it offers a straightforward focal length to work with.

Specialist Note

Exposure adjustments can look abrupt in a moving shot; the de-clicked aperture is useful when you want to change light levels without click-by-click stops. Its T2.1 maximum aperture gives you room to open up in dim interiors, while manual focus lets you set a deliberate focus pull between a subject and the background. I’d recommend it to a filmmaker who’s happy to work with focus by hand, especially for room-wide establishing shots or controlled dialogue scenes. On a Canon APS-C (EF-S) body, the 24mm view frames more like a 38mm lens, which can suit tighter interview framing. It’s a prime, so you’ll need to reposition the camera rather than zoom to reframe.
