8Sinn Arca Swiss Baseplate Kit V2 + 10 ARRI Dovetail Plate
8Sinn Arca Swiss Baseplate Kit V2 + 10 ARRI Dovetail Plate | A named plate setup for tripod work
For a tripod setup where the named plate components are the point, this kit gives you a specific combination to work around: the 8Sinn Arca Swiss Baseplate Kit V2 + 10 ARRI Dovetail Plate. It’s a specialist tripod accessory, suited to filmmakers and camera operators who are choosing parts by their plate names rather than shopping for a general support accessory. The product name identifies both the Arca Swiss Baseplate Kit V2 and the 10 ARRI Dovetail Plate, making it easier to keep those references together when planning a rig or comparing parts for a setup. The V2 designation is also useful when you need to distinguish this version by name. The strongest reason to consider it is that focused, clearly named combination. It’s less relevant if you simply need a tripod accessory and don’t have a particular plate setup in mind. Use the full product name when checking it against your rig plan, so you’re comparing the exact item rather than relying on a broad category label.
Choosing by plate name
Plate names matter when you’re planning a camera support setup: they give you a more precise reference than the word “tripod accessory” alone. This product’s title names two components, so it’s worth keeping the full wording to hand when discussing the setup with your team or comparing your intended parts. That’s especially helpful when a version identifier such as V2 is part of the product name. The title describes a focused option, not a catch-all accessory for every tripod workflow.
Specialist Note
This kit’s clear advantage is that it brings a specifically named baseplate kit and dovetail plate into one product reference for a planned tripod setup. I’d pay attention to both parts of the name: “V2” identifies the baseplate kit version, while “10 ARRI Dovetail Plate” gives you the plate designation to compare with your rig plan. That makes it a sensible option for an operator who already knows these are the components they’re looking for, especially when organising a build list or discussing parts with a colleague. It’s a focused accessory, so I wouldn’t choose it just because you need something for a tripod; the named plate setup is the reason to consider it.
