8Sinn Camera Cage For Canon EOS R5 MkII + 8Sinn Top Handle Pro V2
8Sinn Camera Cage For Canon EOS R5 MkII + 8Sinn Top Handle Pro V2 | More support for handheld video
The defining difference here is the pairing of a camera cage and a top handle as a shoulder rig for the Canon EOS R5 MkII. It suits video makers who want extra support while filming handheld, rather than a cage on its own. The cage is made for the EOS R5 MkII, and the Top Handle Pro V2 gives you another way to hold and guide the setup as you work. That combination is useful for interview footage, handheld cutaways and other video where you want to keep the camera controlled while moving between shots. It’s a focused piece of kit: the job is to support handheld camera work, not to replace a tripod for a locked-off frame. If your EOS R5 MkII is part of a video setup and you prefer a supported handheld approach, this rig brings the cage and handle together in one product.
Specialist Note
Two parts make this a more considered handheld setup: the cage is specifically for the Canon EOS R5 MkII, and the Top Handle Pro V2 gives you a grip above the camera. For an interview or a handheld cutaway, I’d hold the top handle to guide the frame and keep the camera close to my body when I want steadier movement. That’s where this combination makes sense: it’s aimed at video work where you still want to operate handheld, but would welcome extra support. One thing to keep in mind is that a shoulder rig won’t give you the fixed framing of a tripod, so it’s best suited to shots where you want to move with the camera.
