ACT 2m DisplayPort Cable Male - DisplayPort Male Power

ACT 2m DisplayPort Cable Male - DisplayPort Male Power | A direct link for a short cable run

When two pieces of equipment need a DisplayPort connection and they’re close enough for a 2m cable, this ACT cable gives you a simple way to link them. It has a male DisplayPort connector at each end, so it’s intended for equipment with matching DisplayPort connections. The product name also identifies it as a power cable. That’s the useful detail to keep in mind when choosing it: this is a specific DisplayPort cable, not a general-purpose cable with interchangeable ends. Its 2m length suits a nearby connection, such as equipment arranged together on a desk or in a compact setup. Before routing it, picture the actual path between the two connection points, rather than measuring only the straight-line gap. A little planning can make the difference between a relaxed cable route and one that has to be pulled tight.

Planning the cable route

Think about where the equipment sits and how the cable needs to travel between it. A route around a stand, along a desk edge or behind equipment uses more length than the direct distance between the two ports, so allow for that when deciding whether 2m will reach. It’s also worth deciding where you want the cable to run before connecting everything; that helps you avoid shifting equipment just to make the cable fit. The male-to-male DisplayPort ends define the connection type, while the stated length gives you a clear starting point for planning. Keep those two details in view when matching this cable to your setup.
