ACT 2m Mini DisplayPort Male - Male

ACT 2m Mini DisplayPort Male - Male | A defined two-metre connection

The defining design choice is the 2-metre length: it gives this cable a set reach between two connection points, without asking you to choose from several lengths. The ACT cable has a Mini DisplayPort male connector at each end. It’s suited to a setup where both ends need that connector type and a male plug. Its most straightforward use is linking those two points when they’re within the cable’s reach. The connector name matters more here than any claim about a particular device: the cable is identified by its Mini DisplayPort ends, not by a camera model or a named display. That makes the key decision fairly simple. Look at the connection required at each end, then consider whether a 2-metre cable is long enough for the route you have in mind. It’s a specific, easy-to-understand cable rather than a general-purpose lead.

Planning the connection

Think about where the two Mini DisplayPort connections sit in your setup before routing the cable. A two-metre length gives you a known maximum span, so the practical question is whether that distance works for the positions you need to join. Allow for the path the cable will take rather than measuring only the straight-line gap; a route around furniture or along a desk can use more length. Both ends are male, so this is the configuration to consider when each connection point calls for a male plug. The naming keeps the product’s purpose clear, but it doesn’t identify particular devices or describe supported display formats. If your setup calls for Mini DisplayPort male connectors at both ends, this ACT cable matches that connector description. Its length is the other detail to weigh when planning the run.
