ACT 50 Meters 8K DP 2.1 DP40 UHBR10 LSZH Active Optical Cable (AOC)

ACT 50 Meters 8K DP 2.1 DP40 UHBR10 LSZH Active Optical Cable (AOC) | Long reach for DisplayPort installations

When a screen needs to sit well away from its source, a short cable can make the layout difficult. This ACT cable gives you a 50-metre DisplayPort run to plan around. It’s an active optical cable (AOC), labelled for 8K and DisplayPort 2.1, with DP40 and UHBR10 in its name. Those details make it relevant to installations where the distance between connected equipment is a central concern. The cable also carries an LSZH designation. One practical point: 50 metres is a substantial length, so measure the actual route—including the path to each device—before settling on it. That small bit of planning can help avoid ending up with more cable than your setup needs.

Planning a long cable run

A long connection often means routing cable around a room, along a wall or through a planned installation rather than simply linking equipment on the same desk. Decide where each device will sit, then map the route between them before you buy. Allow for the way the cable needs to reach each connection point, and consider whether the route will stay in place or need to be moved later. The product name identifies this as a DisplayPort cable, so it’s intended for a DisplayPort connection. For a setup where a long route is the deciding factor, its stated length and active optical format are the details to weigh first. Keep the product designation with your installation notes if you need to identify the cable later.
