ACT 5m DisplayPort Cable Male - Male Power Pin 20 Connected.

ACT 5m DisplayPort Cable Male - Male Power Pin 20 Connected | A five-metre DisplayPort link

What sets this ACT cable apart in its name is the specific combination of a five-metre length, male connectors at both ends and a connected power pin 20. It suits someone who needs to join two DisplayPort sockets and wants a longer run than a short desk cable provides. The male-to-male ends make the connection type clear; the 5m length gives you room to route the cable between the two points rather than placing them close together. Its stated pin 20 connection is another detail to account for when choosing a cable for a particular setup. This is a straightforward cable, not a hub or adapter: its purpose is to make a DisplayPort connection between matching sockets. If those details match the setup you have in mind, the title tells you the key points to compare.

Planning the cable run

Think about the route the cable will take, not just the straight-line gap between the two connections. A run that goes around furniture or along the edge of a desk can use more length than the distance between the devices suggests, and leaving a little slack can make placement easier. Keep the route clear of places where the cable could be pinched or pulled. Those are practical considerations for any cable run; they don’t change the ACT cable’s stated length or connector type. The useful thing here is that the main selection details are explicit: DisplayPort, male at both ends, 5m and power pin 20 connected. Match those details to the sockets and requirements of your intended setup.
