ACT DVI-D Dual Link Cable Male - Male 5.00m

ACT DVI-D Dual Link Cable Male - Male 5.00m | A five-metre cable for DVI-D connections

When a DVI-D setup needs a cable run that reaches beyond the desk, this ACT cable gives you 5.00 metres to work with. It has a male DVI-D connector at each end and is specified as Dual Link, so it suits a setup that calls for that connector type and link format. The useful part is its straightforward specification: one cable, two male ends, and a defined length. That makes it easier to judge whether it matches the connection you’re arranging, without guessing from a product photo. It’s best suited to a planned DVI-D connection where the cable needs to span some distance between the two connection points. Measure the route before choosing; the available length is generous for a nearby connection, but the path you take matters.

Plan the route first

For a tidy installation, think about where the cable will run before connecting it. Measure along the actual path, rather than in a straight line between the two points: a route around a desk or behind equipment can take more cable than it first appears. Leave room for the cable to reach both ends without pulling it taut, and consider where you’ll need to access the connections later. Those small checks help you decide whether this length makes sense for your layout. The cable’s name gives you the key details to compare with the connection you need: DVI-D, male ends, and Dual Link. Match those requirements and the cable length to your plan.
